Heighten appreciation and knowledge of the Flint Hills of Kansas by inviting families to celebrate by playing music and experiencing the natural world of the Tallgrass Prairie.

Provide an opportunity for musicians of all ages and abilities to play together in the midst of the prairie, instructed by competent, enthusiastic music educators.
Offer place-based activities guided by knowledgeable prairie experts.
Host a free public concert overlooking the Flint Hills, performed by the Emporia Symphony Orchestra and guest artist Eugene Friesen.
