Drawing In Nature ~ Become inspired by the beauty of the Flint Hills. Slow down and let your eyes guide your hands.  Separate classes for children and adults offered.

Horseback Rides ~ The prairie looks different from the back of a horse.  Our wranglers will lead rides for those 7 years old and older. Long pants, closed toed shoes and pre registration required.

Folklore of the Flint Hills ~ Dr. Jim Hoy shares stories in this insightful session filled with tales of local culture.

Edible and Medicinal Prairie Plants ~ Gather plants of the prairie that are useful in both your medicine cabinet and your kitchen.

Guided Prairie Walks ~ On this hike through the Flint Hills experience the prairie like never before. Knowledgeable prairie enthusiasts teach you about this complex and delicate ecosystem.

Children’s Prairie Adventure ~ This interactive session will allow children to play in the prairie engaging in age appropriate activities.

Hands on Reptiles and Amphibians ~ Snakes, lizards and salamanders that call the Flint Hills home. Hold them in your hand; learn adaptations and fun facts about each animal.

Flint Hills Cowboys: Up Close and in Person ~ Come meet and talk with working cowboys of the Flint Hills. Learn about their day-to-day work and try your hand at a lasso!

Pen In Hand; Writing in the Prairie ~ Become inspired by others who have written about the grasslands and spend time putting into words what the prairie means to you through poetry or stories.

Dancing with the Wind ~ Become inspired by the movement of the grasses and rhythms of the winds. Adults and children share simple singing and dancing to reconnect your spirit with the Prairie

The Magic of Water ~ This hands-on class wades into our rivers and streams to explore the plants and animals and their effects on the prairie and those who live and work on the land.

Trees: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly ~ Identify common trees and explore the role that trees have played in the Flint Hills.
